Every size, every service

The ranges below are for single-level homes — a house or townhouse over two floors runs about half again, because stairs, a second set of common areas and hauling equipment up and down all add real time. Your price also depends on your address: homes vary by neighbourhood, and so does parking. Enter your ZIP and the calculator works out your real number. Homes in our extended area add $25 per visit on top.

Home First Clean 50% off Recurring per visit Move In / Out empty home

First Clean and Move In / Out ranges run from a lightly lived-in home to one needing heavy-duty attention. Recurring runs from weekly (cheapest per visit) to monthly.

Why recurring costs so much less

A first clean pays for taking a home back to baseline — grout, baseboards, behind the furniture. Once it is there, keeping it there is a fraction of the work, so a recurring visit is priced against the upkeep rather than the reset. New recurring customers also get $50 off visits 2–4.

What moves your price

Four things, and nothing else.

Questions about pricing

How much does house cleaning cost in Boston?

For a first clean with Serve, most Boston homes fall between $117 and $347 depending on size and condition. Recurring visits run from $85 per visit for a studio to about $191 for a three-bedroom. Move-in and move-out cleans on an empty home are higher, since every cabinet, the fridge and the oven are done inside.

Is that the real price, or are there fees on top?

It is the real price. Supplies, equipment and card processing fees are all included. The only thing that changes the number is what you tell us about the home — its size, its condition, and any add-ons you choose.

Do you charge by the hour?

No. You get a flat price before you book and that is what you pay. An hourly rate moves the risk of a slow day onto the customer, and it gives a cleaner a reason to work slowly. Homes above five bedrooms are the one exception and get a personal quote.

What makes my price land at the high end of the range?

Condition. A lightly lived-in home sits at the low end and a home that needs heavy-duty attention sits at the top. Square footage matters too — a large home at a given bedroom count prices above the band. Nothing else moves it.

Do I have to sign up for a recurring plan?

No. The first clean stands on its own and there is no contract. If you do want to keep it going, new recurring customers get $50 off visits two through four, and recurring visits are priced well below a one-time clean because the home is already at baseline.
